Practicing daily self-affirmation is one of the easiest steps you can take on your mental wellness journey. For frequent CityHeART radio listeners, affirmations have become a staple during Moment in Between – and over the months I have truly seen a difference in the way I approach the world as I set and absorb those affirmations each week.
Seeing such a marked difference in myself because of my engagement with affirmations has inspired me – not just to continue making space for them during our radio programming but also to bring them to different aspects of our content (and in different ways).
I often encourage you all to journal these self-affirming statements during the radio if they resonate with you – and while I still encourage you all to continue in that practice – I also wanted to provide a different way of engaging with affirmations that may be helpful for some of you out there. Affirmation cards are a tool often used for those working towards self-compassion – small reminders that can be carried with you throughout the day in physical or digital form that narrow down your focus solely on reflection. Allowing these affirmations to take the center of your attention allows the messaging to resonate more deeply within yourself – and allows you to make the decision to carry those thoughts with you during the day and bring them back out when you need them most.
For anyone who may be craving the ability to carry affirmations with you in a more physical form – or for anyone looking to center self-affirmation in their mindfulness practice: these cards are for you.
