At CityHeART, we are always looking for ways to share valuable resources with our community, and we’re excited to spread the word about an incredible upcoming event hosted by Howards 4 Hope. They are inviting parents, caregivers, and families supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to attend their “Links of Hope | Parents & Caregivers of Individuals with Disabilities” Workshop on October 12, 2024.
This free workshop will offer a wealth of information, practical strategies, and the chance to connect with others in similar caregiving roles. Howards 4 Hope is offering two ways to attend: you can join in-person or virtually via Zoom, making it easy to participate in a way that works best for you.

Respite Services from the Regional Center
Hosted by Disability Rights California (DRC), this session will address common questions about respite services and family support for children and adults with developmental disabilities who live at home. Available both online and in person, this discussion is key for understanding the resources available for families. - 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM (In-Person Only)
Helping Individuals and Families with Care at Home
This interactive, on-site workshop, led by Cambrian Homecare, will provide practical strategies and resources to support caregiving at home. Gain the knowledge, tools, and confidence to provide care with ease and compassion.
This workshop, organized by Howards 4 Hope, aims to create a supportive space for learning and community-building. By sharing resources and strategies, their goal is to empower parents and caregivers, and we at CityHeART are proud to help spread the word about this valuable opportunity.
